Aspire Academy is delighted to announce a new sports partnership with Padel IN Sports to help identify a new generation of talented young Qatari padel players.
Aspire Academy considers this collaboration as a positive step towards a long-term commitment to the fast-growing sport. The recently signed agreement is also part of the Academy’s desire to expand its portfolio of target sports as we aim to identify and nurture the next generation of high potential youth athletes in Qatar.
Aspire Academy and Padel IN Academy will work together to scout and identify up to four young padel players in the upcoming months. The successful youngsters will be offered scholarships at Aspire Academy in time for the 2023-24 academic year.
The academy is prepared to contribute to the increasing popularity of the sport in the country. Accordingly, Aspire Academy will contribute its know-how and resources to help produce players who can eventually compete for Qatar successfully in the international arena.
The collaboration with Padel IN, an organisation that has established a leading presence not only in Qatar but also throughout the Middle East, will see more youngsters transitioning in the sport from a hobby to an elite, competitive development programme.
The partnership will ensure that those offered scholarships will have access to the academy’s exceptional coaching, sports science capabilities, and its strength and conditioning programme.
In addition, scholarship student-athletes will receive a world-class academic education.
The initial agreement will also see the two organisations jointly organising at least one junior tournament per season while Aspire Academy will be an official sponsor of Padel IN’s junior tournaments. The event will not only provide competitive opportunities for the student-athletes but also offer further scouting opportunities for Aspire.
This unique collaboration aligns also with Padel IN’s strategic plans to continue expanding and developing the sport locally and internationally. Padel IN was launched in 2019 and in addition to a market leading position in Qatar it is now present in several Middle East countries.
To-date Padel IN’s footprint includes 6 clubs in Qatar, 1 in Kuwait and 2 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Both organisations are excited about the potential this partnership will bring to the growth of the elite programmes of the sport in Qatar.
