His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani inaugurated the Mohammed Bin Ghanem Al Ghanem Maritime Academy Tuesday at Al Shamal region.
His Highness the Amir turned the helm, signaling the opening, and listened to an explanation about the building's units and its various modern facilities and equipment, such as the search and rescue building and the damage inventory building.
During his tour, the Amir was briefed on the latest technological means in the education field and practical and scientific development used in the academy.
His Highness the Amir was accompanied by HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah, HE Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel al-Nabit, HE Commander of Mohammed Bin Ghanem Al Ghanem Maritime Academy Rear Admiral Khalid bin Nasser al-Hajri, several security leaders, and senior officials.
