The Qatar Philatelic and Currency Centre at the Ministry of Culture is organising a stamp exhibition in co-operation with the Cultural Village Foundation - Katara, on the sidelines of the third Katara International Arabian Horse Festival (KIAHF 2023), at the Arab Postage Stamp Museum in Building No. 22. In a statement to Qatar News Agency, Issa al-Fakhro, a member of the centre, said the exhibition showcases the most beautiful stamps of horses and hunting from countries around the world.
The centre displays six frames of horse stamps with envelopes, with each frame containing 16 panels, and four frames for black-and-white horses, in addition to two frames for hunting stamps, he explained.
The centre's participation comes with the aim of spreading and promoting the hobby of collecting stamps and currencies. The centre also creates ways for all its members to practise the hobby in an appropriate manner, and to strengthen ties of co-operation between stamp and currency collectors in Qatar. The museum is also displaying exhibits posted by collectors from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, namely, Dr Hussein Rajab, Aisha Almas, Issa Dashti and Abdul Rahman al-Fifi, Katara said in a statement.
