The Qatari Forum for Authors launched Monday the 'Tale' event as part of the forum's 2023 Strategy.
Led by the forum's director Dr. Aisha Jassim Al Kuwari, the event sheds light on the achievements of a host of Qatari writers and cultural figures whose contributions crossed the cultural field.
Speaking at the event, Children's literature author Asmaa Al Kuwari ascribed her passion for children's literature to the recognition of the need of the Qatari and Arab children for books that suit their environment and culture.
With a career in education and psychology, she said that her various publications tried to focus on the anecdotal story because of its close association with the child since his birth, and the great impact on their life.
Anecdotes also play a major role in instilling values, principles, correction and psychological construction, Al Kuwari said, citing the multiple stories in the Holy Qur'an.
Stressing the children's literature's several intellectual and psychological dimensions, she unveiled her approaches to setting up a children's literature publishing house.
