Qatar Charity (QC) has distributed school uniforms and bags among orphaned students in the Sheikha Aisha Bint Hamad Bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah Model Orphans City in Sudan’s River Nile State.
The distribution came as part of the QC’s orphan care efforts, supported by the benefactors of Qatar, a press statement noted.
The project is aimed at supporting the orphans and provide a suitable environment for them, in addition to reducing the burden on their families in terms of educational requirements.
The generosity of the people of Qatar created an atmosphere of joy and happiness for the orphans, said Youssef Abdullah, the director of Social Affairs and representative of the executive director of Ad Damer district, where the Sheikha Aisha Bint Hamad Bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah Model Orphans City is located.
He appreciated Qatar Charity's continuous humanitarian and development support in the region, and indicated that the uniforms, bags and school supplies were distributed to orphans at a time when they were most in need.
