At Rajagiri Public School, the entire fraternity came together in showcasing their patriotism and the deep gratitude towards the great nation on the 74th Republic Day of India. The special assembly began with the unfurling of the national flag by the principal Sanjeev Kumar, followed by the Indian National Anthem sung by the school choir. Vidya Anil read out the pledge for the students.
The academic director Dr Prasant Palakkappillil delivered the Republic Day message, and led the children in renewing the national vision of the preamble of the Indian Constitution in a pledge. He stressed that the sign of a healthy republic would be in ensuring that the public has the ultimate power over public matters and are engaged in dialogue on nationally important issues. The junior choir presented a song. There were video presentations on smartboards in all classrooms, reiterating the significance of the Constitution and paying homage to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for mother India. The school corridors were decorated with tricolour flags and other craft works.
