The Republic Day of India celebrations at the Birla Public School main campus began with the flag-hoisting ceremony and rendition of the Indian National Anthem. Scouts and Guides Association (Doha) officials Jasim, Yacob, Ahmed and Mona al-Masouri were the chief guests. Paramjeet Kaur Bhullar, who initiated Scouts and Guides in the school, was a guest of honour. Sharing her happiness, Mona congratulated the school and appreciated its contributions in the field of education.
Academic director - principal Harish Sanduja spoke of the significance of the Republic Day in his welcome speech. The students showcased their talents and paid tribute to the rich culture and history of India through a variety of performances, including speeches, patriotic dance and song. Director C V Rappai said the Republic Day reminds each citizen that they matter. Middle section vice head boy Mukund Rajesh Nair and head girl Diya Jijo reaffirmed their commitment to the values and principles of the Indian Constitution. Chindhu Rappai congratulated the students. A vote of thanks was jointly delivered by the comperes, Aalia Khan and Husna Raihana.
