Israel launched a military operation in the Jenin camp killing nine Palestinians, including an elderly woman, and several others critically injured, only hours after Israeli Minister of Security, Itamar Ben Gvir's threats to repeat Operation Guardian of the Walls 2, and to ignite the entire Palestinian territories.
Palestinian analysts and politicians unanimously agreed that the escalation in the Palestinian territories signifies a worse situation in the coming days, warning of Israeli Occupation plans and provocative practices against Al Aqsa Mosque in the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Palestinian writer and political analyst, Mustafa Ibrahim, said that the worst is yet to come, and the repercussions will be more dangerous in the coming days, in light of Ben Gvir's warning of Operation 'Guardian of the Walls 2' and the occupation's attempts to single out the Palestinians in their areas.
The criminal military operation in Jenin camp this morning comes in the context of the ongoing Israeli military aggression against the West Bank, especially the city of Jenin and its camp, Ibrahim said, stressing that what the Israeli army is doing throughout the occupied West Bank, especially in Jenin, will take place tomorrow in the other occupied areas.
Commenting on the occupation forces' allegations about foiling a major attack that was first planned years ago, Ibrahim said that the occupying state does not need to justify committing crimes against the Palestinians by promoting thwarting the Palestinian resistance's potential operations.
Ibrahim highlighted Israel's new government's clear directions to target Palestinians amid Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich's threats to storm the Holy Al Aqsa Mosque. He also highlighted the laws enacted to protect and support Israeli soldiers, and immunize them from accountability, by the daily field executions of Palestinians, daily arrests, house demolitions, in addition to tax money deduction and adopting racist plans in the Negev and Judaizing the Galilee.
He stressed that the real escalation will be against Al Aqsa Mosque, especially in the holy month of Ramadan, which coincides with some Jewish rituals and religious holidays.
For his part, the former Palestinian minister, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, a member of the Fatah Revolutionary Council, said that Itamar Ben-Gvir is a racist extremist figure, and he will work to blow up the entire region, and what happened in Jenin today is an actual translation of his threats yesterday to carry out the 'Operation Guardian of the Walls 2' it constitutes the first link in a series of criminal rings that will target Palestinians wherever they are.
In exclusive statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA), he added that the current Israeli government will persist in its actions in light of the silence of the international and Arab community.
He said, "There will be no serious reactions from the United States, Europe, and the international community, so Israel will continue its crimes against the Palestinians and will work to kill everything that is Palestinian. Its crimes began today in Jenin, and will extend to all Palestinian cities."
The Palestinian official said that Israel is still continuing its settlement plans, working to displace the residents of Masafer Yatta, and destroying Al-Khan Al-Ahmar.
He said that what the Palestinian Authority is calling for is to provide protection for the Palestinian people, which is one of the most basic rights enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations.
He added, "We demanded protection for the Palestinians, and this was not done. We resorted to the International Court of Justice to give a legal opinion on the nature of this occupation, and we found who is voting against the decision and threatening us."
The Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, had threatened to repeat Operation "Guardian of the Walls" that took place in Jerusalem last year and extended to all Palestinian cities and towns, including the Gaza Strip, which witnessed war and Israeli aggression for three days.
He said that it might happen soon, and that he would work to strengthen the Israeli police forces, establish a unit called the National Guard, and double the manpower in the border guard unit.
