Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family of Morocco Aawatif Hayar confirmed that the current circumstances and multiple crises worldwide have imposed major challenges and multiple difficulties for persons with disabilities and their families, stressing the need to focus and pay attention to families and enhance solidarity among them in order to create an appropriate environment that reduces the difficulties and challenges facing persons with disabilities.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the sidelines of her participation in the 42nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, Hayar noted that there is a pioneering experience in Morocco in the field of protecting the rights of persons with disabilities, facilitating their lives and helping them overcome challenges and difficulties. She expressed Morocco's willingness to share this experience with Arab countries during the current session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs.
She explained that the meeting of the Arab Council of Ministers discussed the issue of multidimensional poverty, according to the Arab League's report on poverty in Arab society, pointing out that there is a great need to adopt new standards in dealing with the issue of poverty through openness to various issues related to the cultural and social family.
