Pakistan International School (PISQ) provides its students with multiple learning opportunities through educational trips to several historical and business spots under principal Nargis Raza Otto's leadership. Grade XI and XII students (Commercial Business Group) recently went on a field trip to Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE). The aim was to give them an exposure towards the stock exchange mechanism.
Upon their arrival, the students along with their teachers, Iqbal Khan and M Hafeez, were received by Mohsin Mujtaba, director of Product and Development at QSE. The students learnt about the sale and purchase of shares, with special emphasis on fundamental analysis, technical analysis and sentimental decision.
The host Samer Abou Zaghla also shared information about the index in general and QSE Index Methodology in particular.
Mujtaba enlightened the students with his in-depth understanding and explanation that included how advanced technological measures are adopted to make the stock exchange a clear and responsive system.
The students asked their doubts too.
“We are thankful to the school administration, especially principal Nargis Raza Otho, for organising such an informative and productive trip for us. We got a clearer picture of the stock market and the actual transactions happening within”, said Aftab Ahmad, a student of XII.
The visit will help the students to sail through their monthly Commerce test.
