The Technical Secretariat of Arab Social Ministerial Council Tareq al-Nabulsi asserted that the Doha Declaration that was issued by the high-level event under the theme of: 'The rights of persons with disabilities and multidimensional poverty: further implementation of the 2030 agenda for sustainable development and beyond', will be submitted for approval once the Arab ministers of development reach an understanding on several matters and elements.
During the special session dedicated to present the "Multidimensional poverty" report on the sidelines of the events of 42nd high-level meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, al-Nabulsi said that the Arab ministers of social affairs stressed on the criticality of close interconnection between the Arab social and development aspirations, safeguarding security, peace and societal harmony, provision of the essential political, economic, and legislative structure, without compromising the Arab principles and customs related to the family, and normal social relations.
He unveiled the details of aforementioned Doha Declaration, pointing out that the Arab ministers of social affairs reached an agreement to enhance the action of monitoring and evaluating the diverse services afforded to persons with disabilities, within the framework of efforts made to implement the 2030 Sustainable Development Plan, through sharing the successful expertise and experiences that aim to integrate persons with disabilities, and execute the relevant strategies and programs.
New digitised surveys will be conducted on the social dimensions of the 2030 Sustainable Development Plan, and approve digitised follow-up and evaluation systems for the efforts of social development at the national and regional levels, in addition to preparing a model for the friendly budget for persons with disabilities, al-Nabulsi added.
