Qatar Chamber's Tourism and Exhibition Committee discussed Monday the obstacles facing the tourism and exhibition sectors, and ways to tackle and eliminate them.
This came during a meeting held under the chairpersonship of HE Board Member of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Hamad bin Ahmed bin Abdulla Al-Thani, during which the members of committee reviewed the most prominent proposed solutions to improve the performance of the tourism and exhibition sectors, and confirmed the importance of coordination between ministries and concerned bodies with tourism companies and travel agencies in the local market, stressing that this is of great impact on developing and supporting the sector.
It is noteworthy that the Tourism and Exhibition Committee plays a key role in developing the sector in the state. It follows up on the implementation of the strategic plans adopted by the country to develop the sector and reviews, follows up and activates laws and legislation that contribute to developing this sector and makes recommendations of relevance to them.
The committee also organises seminars, conferences and workshops that help in promoting the sector and participates in local and international meetings, seminars, and conferences, as well as contributes to conducting studies on the labour market in the sector and presents recommendations and proposals to the Chamber's Board of Directors.
