Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky affirmed that his country's accession to membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (Nato) is the best guarantee of security for Ukraine.
"I am confident that the best guarantee for us would be Nato membership. It is important to actively promote the idea that our country should become a member of the Alliance," Zelensky said in a statement during a meeting with former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
The Ukrainian President stressed that due to the powerful support of partners, Ukraine will manage to stop the Russian aggressor and liberate all the temporarily occupied territories.
"However, we need more weapons: tanks, aircraft, long-range missiles," the President affirmed because the delay in sending them will lead to prolonging the war.
