At least one person was killed today, while 60 were injured, as a result of a stampede between fans who had gathered in front of the Palm Trunk Stadium in Basra that hosts the 25th Gulf Cup final "Gulf 25".
Medical and security sources told Iraq News Agency (INA) that the stampede between fans in front of the Palm Trunk Stadium in Basra resulted in the death of one person and the injury of 60 others, pointing out that there are critical cases among the injured.
Basra city witnesses today the final match of the Gulf Cup "Gulf 25" between Iraq and Oman.
The 25th Arabian Gulf Cup "Gulf 25" kicked off on Jan 6, 2023 with the participation of eight teams: Iraq, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, the Emirates and Yemen.
