Eight were found dead due to an avalanche in Tibet, southwestern China.
Chinese Local authorities in Nyingchi City confirmed that Public Security in Medog province had received calls reporting that an avalanche had occurred at an exit of a tunnel on the highway connecting Medog with Pad Township in Mainling County, trapping people and vehicles.
A search and rescue operation for the missing is underway.
