A total of 420 families received aid to the tune of QR12.6mn from the Zakat Fund of the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs in December 2022.
According to a statement from Awqaf, the Zakat Affairs Department distributed QR12,657,876 aid to the registered beneficiaries.
The aid provided to eligible families on a monthly basis was worth QR8,806,550, while lump-sum, one-time aid amounted to QR3,851,326.
The administration receives Zakat funds through various collection channels, including offices and collection points spread across the country, in addition to the website of the Zakat Affairs Department as well as the express collection service on the numbers 55199990, 55199996, and the administration’s accounts with banks.
