Two Palestinian youths were shot dead today by the Israeli occupation forces, at the entrance to the town of Jaba, south of Jenin, in the occupied West Bank.
Security sources said that the occupation forces stormed the site of the settlement of Tarsala, and set up a military checkpoint at the junction of the town of Jaba, as a result, clashes broke out in the area, during which the Israeli soldiers fired live bullets and stun grenades at Palestinian youths.
The same sources added that the occupation forces opened fire on a vehicle in which two Palestinian youths were traveling at the Jaba, killing them both.
Since the beginning of this year, the number of Palestinian martyrs has risen to 12, including 3 children.
Last year, 224 Palestinians were killed by Israeli occupation forces, including 59 from Jenin.
The Tarsala settlement is located on a hill south of the city of Jenin, on the main road connecting the governorates of Jenin and Nablus. It is near the town of Jaba, which was evacuated by the occupation authorities in 2005, as part of the unilateral evacuation plan implemented by the Israeli government, headed by Ariel Sharon, at the time.
