The Hindi Department of DPS-Modern Indian School, Qatar celebrated 'World Hindi Day' recently. Students presented a colourful cultural extravaganza that included a Qawwali, song, group dance and a skit highlighting the importance of the day. Maairah Rimas Chadkhan (Grade VII) recited a poem composed by the Hindi Department head Suhaila Mohsin. Principal Asna Nafees pointed out the significance and the popularity of Hindi language all over the globe and inspired the students to carry forward its richness and essence. Vice principals Soma Bhattacharjee (Senior Secondary School), Mary Cruz (Senior School) and Shifa Shekh (Junior School), and other key functionaries were present. The event concluded with a commitment to preserve the values and ethos of Indian culture.
