Qatar Charity (QC) has placed a football-shaped donation box -- named 'One Goal for Humanity' -- in Place Vendome mall to enable benefactors to donate easily and allow the local community and visitors to do good and help those in need. The initiative is part of QC’s continuous efforts to provide the best services to donors and philanthropists, allowing them to do good easily where they are.
Qatar Charity, through the donation box installed in the mall in conjunction with the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, will continue to receive cash donations to support its various relief and development projects and campaigns, including the current winter drive, until the end of March. Ali Ibrahem AlGreeb, director of the Resource Development Department at QC, thanked the Place Vendome mall management for allowing Qatar Charity to place the donation box at the mall.
AlGreeb urged community members and visitors to support Qatar Charity’s projects by making their contribution through this donation box to maximise the number of beneficiaries worldwide. He called on all companies and commercial bodies in the country to co-operate with QC in the field of charitable and
humanitarian work and to participate in its various community activities.
Shane Eldstrom, chief executive officer at United Developers, expressed pride in the mall's participation in humanitarian work through Qatar Charity, as
part of its social responsibility towards the local community and vulnerable communities around the world, noting that the mall looks forward to continuing co-operating with QC by providing spaces for carrying out community activities, holding charitable events in the future, and allowing the installation of fixed donation boxes at the various locations within the mall.
QC has 135 branches and collection points across Qatar, which are located in hospitals, commercial centres and markets, to receive donations from benefactors, in addition to 2,089 fixed donation boxes and 35 donation kiosks across the country. Besides, people can also donate through Qatar Charity’s website (https://www.qcharity.org/en/qa) and app (qch.qa/q/app), in addition to requesting for a ‘Home Collector’, and dialing the hotline - 44290000 - to donate.
