The high-quality services and facilities introduced by the Ministry of Municipality on Sealine Beach have won the praise of visitors.
Local Arabic daily Arrayah recently reported that visitors appreciated the provision of paths dedicated to persons with special needs and the elderly, which give them easy access to the nearest possible points from where they can view and enjoy the sea.
Besides, a good number of umbrellas and seats have been installed to provide visitors with places to sit and relax by the sea, in addition to easily accessible toilets. There are also some dedicated facilities for the elderly and persons with special needs, including showers by the beach, the report states.
The Ministry of Municipality has also installed some artistic works to decorate the place and add to its beauty and aesthetic appeal with a touch of creativity.
The beach enjoys the services of lifeguards from 6am until 6pm. There is a board specifying the working hours of lifeguards, while also issuing a public warning to those who want to swim outside these hours that they should do so on their own responsibility.
Meanwhile, the ministry urged visitors to avoid littering the beach and instead dispose of waste only in the designated places to maintain the cleanliness of the beach. The public has also been advised to avoid bringing pets to the beach.
Further, the ministry has asked beach goers not to ride horses by the beach or use boats and bikes near the beach. Further, barbecues should be done only in the designated areas - along with the use of charcoal - and not on the sands of the beach. These conditions and regulations are meant to keep the place clean and safe for all, while protecting the local environment against any potential pollutants.
The beach has playgrounds and play areas to help visitors enjoy sports, especially games like beach volleyball and football. Most of the lighting system on the beach is powered by solar energy. Besides, there is a clinic near the beach to address any medical cases.
