Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed in a phone call with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau the issue of strengthening Ukraine's defence capabilities and the Peace Formula proposed by Ukraine.
"We discussed strengthening Ukraine's defence capabilities in the face of threats and risks of escalation at the front," Zelensky said, according to Ukrainian National News Agency (Ukrinform).
The Ukrainian President expressed gratitude for the "strong support" provided by Canada to his country amidst the ongoing Russian military operation since Feb. 24, 2022.
He added that the two sides also agreed on steps to implement the Peace Formula proposed by Zelensky.
In November, Zelensky proposed a ten-point peace plan, including the unity of Ukraine, the fate of prisoners, and food security in Ukraine.
