Qatar secured 12 medals on the second day of the 9th Men’s West Asian Weightlifting Championship and seventh Men’s and Women’s Qatar Weightlifting Cup. Rebeka Ibrahim claimed six gold medals (three medals in each championship) in the 59kg event. Hazem Hassan secured three gold medals in West Asian Weightlifting Championship and three medals (two silver and one bronze) in Qatar Weightlifting Cup.
