The recent London production of Broken Wings, which took to the stage at Charing Cross Theatre, is now available to stream online for audiences to enjoy until New Year’s Day.
The critically acclaimed musical, with a beautiful original score by Middle Eastern duo: Qatari composer, and singer-songwriter Dana and West End actor, singer, and writer Nadim Naaman, was first premiered in 2018 and had sell-out shows at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London, the Beitiddein Festival in Beirut, Katara Opera House in Qatar, and The Dubai Opera.
Based on the poetic novel of the same name by Lebanese-American writer, poet and visual artist, Kahlil Gibran, the majestic new musical available to stream has world-renowned theatre and Broadway producers, namely Katy Lipson, Bonnie Comley, Stewart F. Lane, and Edward Prophet, at the helm.
Receiving 5-star reviews from the industry’s most trusted sources including West End Best Friend, Dress Circle Antics, and Fairy Powered Productions, Broken Wings has been described by All The Dazzles as: “An absolute must-see...” and Broadway World advised: “Grab a ticket or ten for this musical while you can...”.
Dana, said: “Broken Wings will always hold a special significance for me, not only because it was my first musical, but because it was my first exercise in introducing this prolific figure of Arab origin to a West End audience.
“Thank you to the Aria Entertainment team for making this stream possible.”
The events of Broken Wings highlight key issues of the time, yet the themes and debates raised remain increasingly relevant today, over a century later; the fight for gender equality, the freedom to live life to the fullest, a world where tradition and modernity is celebrated alike, wealth versus happiness, immigration, and the importance of ‘home’.
Audiences can stream Broken Wings until New Year’s Day at 7.30pm GMT.
