The yards for selling local agriculture products at Al Mazrouah, Al Wakra, Al Khor and Al Thakhira, Al Sheehaniya, and Al Shamal, under the Agricultural Affairs Department at the Ministry of Municipality, have made considerably good sales until the past week.
As much as 370 tonnes of vegetables were sold alongside 59.5 tonnes of fruits, 116 kg of honey, and 373kg of dates, in addition to 200 boxes of mushroom at Al Mazrouah. The yards at Al Mazrouah, Al Khor and Al Thakhira and Al Wakra are open for customers all days of the week, while the yards at Al Sheehaniya and Al Shamal work only on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. These yards provide Qatari farms with a means to directly market their products, at considerably low retail prices compared to other places.
