Qatar rejects misleading media leaks, FM tells EU

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani met Tuesday with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, on the sidelines of the Baghdad Conference for Co-operation and Partnership, which takes place in Jordan. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between Qatar and the European Union, in addition to regional developments and corruption investigations in the European Parliament. HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs underlined, during the meeting, the need to respect the judicial procedures and not to anticipate the results of the investigations, stressing in this context Qatar's rejection of the misleading media leaks that drag its name in this matter.
"We stressed the need to respect judicial process and not pre-empt results of investigations. I affirmed our rejection of misleading media leaks targeting Qatar, " the foreign minister said in a tweet.
