The competitions and activities of the Camels and World Cup 2022 Festival at Al Sheehaniya Camel Racing Area have continued to attract more fans and tourists and lovers of this heritage sports.
The festival, which concludes Saturday is hosted by the Arab Union for Camel Racing (AUCR) in co-operation with the Organising Committee for Camel Races.
A considerable popular attendance was seen Friday as camel races with riders were carried out in addition to the camel handball matches. The first Doha Camel Riders Forum was held related issues and topics discussed among the stakeholders and fans of such sport.
The activities of the festival has the participation of representatives from the member states of AUCR that include Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Mauritania, Palestine, Egypt, Oman, Libya and Sudan, with Qatar being the president of the AURC from May 12, 2022.
