HE Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Doha Mohamed Setri said that this year, the country will celebrate two special occasions at once - Qatar National Day and the final of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, after the entire globe has turned its attention to the sisterly State of Qatar which is hosting this major global event. He commended the great achievements accomplished by Qatar and the distinguished preparations it made to develop infrastructure, services and the eight stadiums for the tournament in light of the country wise leadership and management.
In an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of the country's National Day, HE Ambassador Setri affirmed that the process of development that Qatar is going through is successful and distinguished with brilliance and skillfulness, under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, noting that everyone is praising Qatar's readiness, which is not surprising in light of the tremendous effort that was made to succeed in hosting this major sporting event, referring to the stadiums that were distinguished in terms of shape, design and reliance on advanced technology.
On the symbolism of the 2022 National Day slogan 'Our Unity Source of Our Strength,' His Excellency said that the slogan was associated with three words that carried great connotations and deep meanings that transcended the borders of Qatar because of the deep meaningful messages it carried for the Arab nation, adding that today, the Arab nation needs unity and integration more than ever. He pointed out that Qatar is working to achieve its renaissance and prosperity by serving the causes of the Arab nation and defending its hopes and interests.
HE Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the State of Qatar concluded his statements by saying that the Qatari-Moroccan bilateral relations are deep and strong, noting that these relations cover many areas of mutual appreciation and respect, and are characterised by effective consultation, coordination and solidarity to serve the common interest between the two countries in light of the brotherly ties between His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and His Majesty King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco.
