Kuwait's ambassador in Doha Khaled bin Badr al-Mutairi has hailed Qatar's distinguished and wonderful hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, highlighting the country's highly efficient and professional organisation and amazing and unique stadiums.
In a press statement carried by Kuwait News Agency, he praised Qatar's tireless efforts since it won the World Cup bid for the first time in the Arab region, affirming that the efforts led to a remarkably high-level World Cup organisation.
He also highlighted the support of political leadership, government and people of Kuwait to Qatar to produce the best global event a success.
The ambassador stressed Kuwait's keenness to harness all its capabilities for the success of this great international sports event, highlighting the role of Kuwaiti volunteers by facilitating the entry and exit of the World Cup fans and providing first aid.
Qatar gained huge and pioneering experience through its World Cup hosting, which would benefit other countries in the region when organising international tournaments, as well as its economic, tourism and sports benefits, al-Mutairi said.
He stressed Kuwait's keenness to boost co-operation and exchange of expertise with Qatar to benefit from the great potential that it now has in many aspects.
