Palakkadan Nattarangu Qatar (PNQ) in association with Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) honoured Mohamed Aasim Velimanna, a teen activist who campaigns for the rights of differently-abled children.
The 16 year-old boy, a native of Kozhikode district of Kerala and winner of Unicef's 2017 Child Achiever Award is in Doha to experience the ongoing FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Earlier this year, he swam across the Periyar river in Kerala after two weeks of training, scripting an inspiring story.
PNQ general secretary Nitin Baburaj welcomed the gathering. President Gopinath inaugurated the meeting. ICC president P N Baburajan, vice president Subramanya Hebbagelu and general secretary Krishnakumar offered felicitations.
