The authorities concerned are working round-the-clock in order to ensure smooth transportation of the World Cup fans to stadiums and tourist destinations, Mowasalat (Karwa) announced Sunday.
There are systems to assist the passengers and fans day and night. “Mowasalat (Karwa) Call Center works 24/7 to assist customers and Qatar 2022 fans,” a tweet said. There is continuous monitoring through the operation centres for all tournament transport operations to ensure highest level of service quality and reliability.
“Our e-buses are built to meet the local weather conditions and equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure a safe, smooth and sustainable ride,” the tweet added.
Karwa continued its successful operations on Saturday with more than 3,600 buses transporting about 209,263 fans during the seventh day of the World Cup. As many as 9,689 public bus trips transported 209,263 passengers while a total of 745,687 passengers were transported by both the Metro and Lusail Tram on Saturday.
The Ministry of Transport (MoT) tweeted that a total of 6,571 passengers were transported by both the Education City and Msheireb Trams on Saturday. More than 900 air movements were recorded at both Hamad International Airport (HIA) and Doha International Airport (DIA) on Saturday. Karwa also continues to transport fans from the floating hotels to Doha and back.
