The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has added Urgent Care Services to Al Mashaf Health Centre, bringing to nine the total number of health centres providing this facility.
Health centres that provide Urgent Care Services 24 hours a day, seven days a week are thus: Al Ruwais, Umm Salal, Muaither, Al Gharrafa, Al Sheehaniya, Abu Baker, Rawdat Al Khail, Al Kaaban, and Al Mashaf.
The PHCC stated that its clinical teams at 30 health centres are ready to provide medical care to children aged five and above with urgent but non-emergency medical conditions.
These include respiratory tract infection, mild fever, throat pain and ear pain.
Parents can take their children, without prior appointment, to their registered health centre between 7am-11pm, or to any of the nine Urgent Care Units.
The PHCC’s Urgent Care Units provide round-the-clock care for patients with non-threatening medical needs under primary care, such as minor burns, sprains, severe headache or earache, high fever, dehydration, and dizziness.
Parents can take their children to any PHCC Urgent Care Unit, regardless of which health centre they are registered at.
