Greg Bergida
Northwestern University in Qatar (NU-Q) has named Greg Bergida as director of Student Affairs.
In his new position, Bergida is responsible for syncing the NU-Q student experience outside of the classroom, from study abroad to career management to clubs and organisations, with the media school’s academic curriculum.
“Greg Bergida has the right background and experience to continue the trajectory of our Student Affairs programme at NU-Q, especially calibrating our efforts in a media-centric school to enhance student life and student academic affairs,” said NU-Q dean and CEO Everette E Dennis. “We are eager that our student affairs programme support the academic mission and offer something truly distinctive for those who study here.”
Bergida formerly served as director of the Office of Student Life at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business in New York City. Prior to that, he was the manager of customer marketing group Direct Brands Inc.
His experience with student academic affairs and background in management and media “will inject new energy into our larger efforts to secure top-level placements for our students in the 21st century media industry,” said Dennis.
