Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana has presented the Infiniti line-up during the Qatar Motor Show at Doha Exhibition Centre.
The enhanced 2012 Infiniti FX was unveiled at the show with the other attractions including the G 25, the G37 coupe, the QX 56 and the M 56.
Infiniti, the luxury automotive performance brand from Japan, makes its presence felt at the motor show at the start of a new six-year growth plan that will see sales rise to take 10% of global luxury market sectors by 2016.
Hisham al-Mana, chairman of Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana, revealed that the company has invested in a dedicated Infiniti showroom, which will be inaugurated shortly, in line with Infiniti Retail Environment Design Initiative.
“The Infiniti dealership experience is more than just buying a car. It is about connecting to the lifestyle of our customers and developing a relationship with them that lasts beyond the sale. We want this relationship to last a lifetime and for the Infiniti brand to be a lifestyle brand that reflects the customers’ vision of themselves,” he explained.
“The Qatar International Motor Show gives us the opportunity to introduce Infiniti to a broader audience and give them firsthand experience of the model range,” said Juergen Schmitz, general manager, Infiniti Middle East.
FX is one of the most popular Infiniti models globally and a key performer in the Middle East, and the enhanced for 2012 model is being displayed for the first time in the region at Qatar Motor Show.
With five-star equipment and safety, the 2012 FX has been given an aggressive new front grille and fascia – featuring a heavy influence from the Infiniti Essence Concept – as well as a new 20-inch wheel design and an updated instrument cluster.
The FX is available with a choice of a 390hp 5.0l 32-valve DOHC V8 engine with VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift) or with a 303hp 3.5l 24-valve DOHC V6 engine.
The Infiniti G25 Sedan, which also makes its show debut in the Middle East at the motor show, features a new 2.5l V6 DOHC 24-valve 218hp engine with 25.8kg/m of torque and 7-speed automatic transmission.
It shares the same dynamic exterior, interior and chassis as the G37, but with a smaller displacement engine and improved fuel economy.
“With the new Infiniti G25 Sedan, we’re broadening the appeal of the G Line with a model designed to provide an additional choice for buyers looking for a true luxury sedan, but who might not need the higher levels of performance provided by our larger engine-equipped G37 models,” Schmitz said.
