Qatari staff after receiving their certificates from LMBS on the successful completion of Management Development Programme
Commercialbank (Cb), in association with London Metropolitan Business School (LMBS), yesterday held a certification ceremony for their Qatari staff who successfully completed the Management Development Programme.
The LMBS awarded certificates to the graduating staff who had successfully completed the 18-month long programme.
Present at the ceremony from LMBS were Professor Malcolm Gillies, vice-chancellor, Professor Raymond Madden, dean of Business Studies and other LMBS academic team. Abdulla al-Raisi, deputy CEO Commercialbank, management and staff from the bank also attended the event.
“The alliance with LMBS has proven so successful that we look forward to two further cohorts graduating in August 2012. To undertake the programme, candidates underwent rigorous selection criteria including a one-to-one interview with LMBS tutors to ensure suitability for admission to the programme,” Cb Group CEO Andy Stevens said.
The bank’s partnership with LMBS highlights its commitment to providing the best possible vocational training in order to generate future generations of managers and in the bigger picture, it, in turn highlights the commitment to the future prosperity of Qatar, he added.
Nayef al-Beshri, one of the graduates, said the programme provided an opportunity to have a deeper understanding of banking as enhancing or creating robust managerial skills was one of the key elements to the success of the programme.
“The benefit we gained from the Management Trainee Programme as well as from the tutors, trainers, and HR co-ordinators team inspire us to open our minds and eyes in a lot of areas to things we were absolutely unaware of, and I trust this experience has changed us and am sure it will positively affect our future life and career,” Alanoud al-Khalaf said.
