Papadopoulos (centre) with Carlson and Hawkins

Standard Chartered and the British embassy held a reception on Wednesday in connection with the Qatar visit of the bank’s regional chief executive officer (Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan) Christos Papadopoulos.
The reception was co-hosted by Charles Carlson, chief executive officer of Standard Chartered Bank in Qatar and John Hawkins,
the British ambassador to Qatar.
Guests included senior members of the Qatari and British business communities, diplomats and dignitaries.
“As well as underlining Standard Chartered’s commitment to Qatar, this event was an opportunity for Christos and I, along with other executives of the bank, to meet and strengthen our relationships with our valued clients. We would like to thank the British embassy for co-hosting this immensely successful evening with us,” Carlson said.
“British-based Standard Chartered has a strong presence in Qatar and we are delighted to be co-hosting this event as Standard Chartered continues to strengthen relationships in the business community and beyond,” Hawkins said.
