The MoU was formally signed at QP headquarters by HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed Saleh al-Sada and Dr Mohamed Fathy Saoud, QF president.
Under the agreement, QF in co-operation with QP shall develop a comprehensive training and development plan to meet the corporation’s requirements for cutting-edge professional and technological development. QP shall periodically inform QF on its estimated annual needs of professional development programmes, while QF, for its part, will share with QP the itinerary of professional development programmes offered by the Foundation or by its partnering universities and centres.
The new QP-QF partnership will offer new and varied opportunities for QP staff to advance their skills, consolidating human capacity building by tapping through international standards of continued education and professional development programmes.
Co-operation between QP and QF will support the contribution of both organisations towards achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Al-Sada said, “This agreement is consistent with Qatar Petroleum’s commitment to continuously promote the full development of our employees. We are confident this strategic partnership would ultimately bear fruits not just for QP but for Qatar in general.”
