LG Electronics has achieved an overall business growth of about 20% in Qatar during last year, it was announced during the Middle East and Africa marketing conference in Bali, Indonesia.
“With continuous support from our esteemed customers in Qatar, LG & Jumbo Electronics plan to scale new heights and achieve the number one position in Qatar,” said C V Rappai, director and general manager of Video Home & Jumbo Electronics, the  exclusive distributors of LG products in Qatar for 26 years.
In line with the development activities planned for 2012, LG says it has already introduced many innovative products during the last quarter.
LG had launched the world’s largest Cinema 3D LED TV with a 72” screen. The Smart TV can be viewed without battery-operated glasses, thereby eliminating the need to recharge 3D glasses.
In 2011, with the introduction of Smart TV and Chameleon TV, LG said it had captured the top slot in the TV market and Video Home & Jumbo Electronics secured the highest sales share in Qatar for the Middle East market.
LG’s range of energy-saving “Green Home Appliances” has already been  introduced to Qatar market with many more  innovative products in the line-up for 2012.
LG’s green policy played a key role when the company’s R&D department succeeded in developing and introducing air conditioners with environment-friendly refrigerants.
Its mobile phone range saw the introduction to the Qatar market of the world’s first 3D Smartphone -- the 3D Optimus Mobile. The 3D images on the screen could be viewed without special glasses.
In the service front, Video Home & Jumbo Electronics was awarded the top service provider status in the region.
