HH the Heir Apparent and the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, visited the Qatari military task force in Libya yesterday.
Sheikh Tamim was briefed on the operations conducted by the Qatar Air Force in Libya.
He attended a ceremony held on this occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, Commander of Qatar Emiri Air Force, Brigadier General Mubarak Mohamed al-Kumait al-Khayarin underlined the active participation of the Qatari Air Forces in implementing the UN Security Council resolution No. 1973 on Libya along with the Nato forces.
He further highlighted on the efforts being exerted by Qatari Air Force to provide evacuation of wounded Libyans and bring humanitarian aid to besieged areas before the country’s liberation.
