Squatters carry their belongings as they leave the newly built apartments of the “Minha Casa, Minha Vida” (My House, My Life) housing programme in Rio de Janeiro yesterday. Authorities have ordered the eviction of about 200 families from nearby slums, who moved into the apartments on November 9, according to local media. The apartments of the housing programme, meant for the poor, have already been allocated to families by raffle.
