Monaco’s royal house welcomed its newest member with the arrival of a baby girl, princess Caroline said in a statement published yesterday. The baby was born on Sunday to Tatiana Santo Domingo and her husband Andrea Casiraghi, Caroline’s eldest son and the eldest grandchild of Rainier III, prince of Monaco. She is the couple’s second child. The mother is doing well, Caroline said in a statement. It is the first granddaughter for the princess. The baby girl will become sixth in the line of succession to the throne. Santo Domingo and Casiraghi gave birth to their first child, a boy named Alexandre Casiraghi, in 2013.  The announcement follows the birth of the twins, Gabriella and Jacques, to princess Charlene of Monaco in December. Charlene’s husband, Prince Albert II, is Caroline’s brother. The twins are due to be baptised on May 10.
