A 34-year-old woman is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a bus in south London.
The victim, who police said suffered serious head and foot injuries in the collision, was hit by the 156 bus on Battersea Park Road shortly after 10.50pm on Wednesday.
Scotland Yard today appealed for witnesses to speak to police.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Hampton are investigating
The bus driver stopped at the scene and has not been arrested. Enquiries are ongoing.
The mother of a 17-year-old girl who was killed after being struck by a lorry has paid an emotional tribute to her daughter.
Claudia Landa suffered from multiple injuries after she was knocked down in Carshalton Road at the junction with Goat Road in Mitcham on April 2.
The college student from Wallington, south London, was taken to a hospital in east London after the collision at 4.20pm. She died four days later on April 6.
Dozens of flowers have been laid by mourners at the scene to the student, who was nicknamed Cloud by friends.
She was studying for her A-Levels at Richmond-Upon-Thames College and celebrated her 17th birthday
The drama student was hoping to be offered a place at the University of Manchester after suffering a knock back from a serious illness in her early teens.
Martin, director of charity Commonside Trust, described her as “the best daughter in the world” who had a “massive impact on dozens and dozens of people”.
She said: “My relatives, who have known Claudia from when she was little, write that they remember first meeting her as feisty, determined, stunning.  She had the biggest eyes and the longest eyelashes in the world.
“Seventeen years was so cruelly short. She fitted a heck of a lot in. She was the wisest 17-year -old on the planet. She has clearly left a legacy. For now I’m not clear what it is, but I have no doubt she has.”
