The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has inaugurated the first nursery for children with disabilities in Qatar.
Located in the Abu Hamour area, the new nursery's vision is based on leadership in providing early intervention and comprehensive services to achieve comprehensive psychological, social, physical and academic development for children with disabilities and providing the highest standards of care and quality education for them. The nursery, which was inaugurated by Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education Affairs Omar al-Naama, provides two programmes for care and education in both Arabic and English, focusing on the promotion of Islamic values, Qatari culture and principles of the Arabic language, as well as other features, programmes and activities that make it a model for nurseries specialised in serving children with disabilities.
