* Set within Qatar Creates Week, the panel discussions explore the role of art in heritage preservation and sustainability among other topics

Qatar Creates has announced a series of public discussion panels under its Qatar Creates Week activities, taking place from 24 October through 29 October. Featuring renowned figures from the local and international arts scene, including HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, along with acclaimed art practitioners, industry experts and patrons, the conversations will highlight a variety of perspectives exploring the impacts of art on culture.

The panels will be hosted at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), Liwan Design Studios and Lab, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) and M7, covering diverse topics on the interaction between heritage, art, geography, society and politics.

Saad Al Hudaifi, Executive Director of Qatar Creates, said: “The panel discussions pave the way for attendees to hear and learn from award-winning artists, influential patrons of the arts and global art advocates. We are honoured to lead the efforts towards facilitating and encouraging these important dialogues as part of Qatar Creates Week, which will undoubtedly become a powerful experience for all participants.”
