The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced that it had registered and transferred 27,237 male and female students during the current academic year 2022-2023 in all public schools, an increase of 30.1% compared to last year.
The Director of Schools Affairs, Ali Jassim al-Kuwari said the ministry had exerted major efforts to overcome the difficulties encountered by the students' guardians in the registration and transference processes of students in the schools of Qatar for the current academic year.
He added that the ministry had facilitated the matter, pointing out that the opening of the early registration process from April 14 to June 9, came in anticipation of preventing potential crowds, noting the launch of the registration process with the launch of the new academic year during the period from Aug 21 to Sept 29, was done to make it easy for the guardians to achieve this process.
He said that the registration process has been extended for cases such as travel, or for students who have to certify their certificate from abroad, to further complete their studies in the schools of Qatar. He added that one of the procedures to accelerate the registration and transference processes in public schools was the addition of some services on the official website of the education ministry, including the services related to the registration of siblings, and outlined that there is a proposal to extend the registration process during the coming years, from one month to three months to absorb further all increasing numbers of students in the registration process in public schools.
