He commented that this ceremony along with other initiatives is a further demonstration of the partnership's commitment to providing a world class learning facility that will mirror a portfolio of providing a leading undergraduate and postgraduate student experience.
Nestled in the new development of Qatar’s new 'Smart City' Lusail, the new state-of–the-art university campus will involve the creation of a number of contemporary pluralistic teaching and learning spaces and will form part of the exciting educational projects taking place in Qatar.
The aim is to complete the campus for the September 2024 intake. Served by an extensive and growing network of road and rail connections, the campus will be
accessible and will enjoy an enviable position close to all amenities. The campus itself will incorporate cutting-edge design features, including a rooftop swimming pool, walking tracks as well as a full size sports hall and gymnasium.
The large, impressive central atrium will extend huge shards of natural light to all parts of the building. A key design feature will be its wide circulation areas and extensive student interactive social spaces, embracing the fundamental ethos to promote and support student and staff health and wellbeing.
Designing, building and moving into such a facility will provide the CUC Ulster community with uncharted opportunities where research, creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship and enterprise can flourish while in parallel strengthening and developing more partnerships with renowned regional and international corporations as well as being aligned to the Qatar National Vision 2030.
This development will align physical spaces with contemporary pedagogical philosophy within an overarching theme of interactive learning. CUC’s commitment towards distinctive education through its recognition as an innovative and creative university with a global reach is highly evident in the design of this new campus.
