Chad's transitional authorities and rebel groups are expected to sign an agreement in Doha Monday paving the way to a broader national reconciliation dialogue.
The signing ceremony will be attended by the negotiating delegation of the transitional government, representatives of opposition groups, as well as representatives of the African Union, a number of regional and international organisations and several countries.
The agreement will come in culmination of the negotiations Qatar hosted over the past five months with regional and international participation.
The agreement will pave the way for holding the Chadian National Inclusive and Sovereign Dialogue in Chad, in the capital N'Djamena, which aims to achieve the inclusive national reconciliation.
Qatar hosted Chad peace negotiations last March with the participation of representatives of the Transitional Military Council and Chadian opposition movements, based on its active regional and international role in providing the basic ground for mediation and prevention of the outbreak and aggravation of conflicts.
The national dialogue, which is meant to include a wide range of groups and parties as well as the government and the rebels, is currently set to start on Aug 20.
