The College of Law at Qatar University (QU) has started the new academic year with 169 undergraduate and 38 postgraduate students.
College dean Dr Talal bin Abdullah al-Emadi welcomed the new students and congratulated the new batch for Fall 2022. It was recalled that Bachelor of Law at QU started in 1990. Between 1990 and 2004, the law major represented an academic department in the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies.
Since 2004, the College of Law has become independent. It began offering master’s programmes in 2014, in 2018 the certificate programme in legal studies was launched, and in 2020 the doctoral programme in law was launched on three tracks: public law, private law and public international law in English.
