Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) issues more than 100,000 medical reports annually, said corporate communications CEO Ali al-Khater, who is also chairman of the Supreme Communications' Committee for Healthcare at the Ministry of Public Health.
The official told local Arabic daily Arrayah that people should utilise the online service to apply for medical reports, from all HMC health facilities, as it saves time and efforts. Applicants can request a printed version of their medical reports which will be delivered to their address through Qatar Post.
Al-Khater explained that the online service could be accessed through the HMC website and the applicant should register the phone number linked to his or her HMC health card, to get an OTP. The applicant can also apply for himself or on behalf of others.
However, there are some conditions such as the applicant ought to be 18 years or older, have valid authorisation from the person on whose behalf the application is being made. People can apply on behalf of parents, sons and daughters sisters or brothers, spouse and grandparents by submitting documents that prove the relation. Besides, the applicant should attach a valid Qatari ID, and pay the required fees online.
