Qatar’s padel team arrived in Doha on Monday after winning the gold medal at the GCC Games in Kuwait. Al Annabi beat hosts Kuwait 3-0 in their final round robin match to finish their campaign with five successive victories. Mohamed Saadoun al-Kuwari, Abdulaziz al-Kuwari, Abdullah al-Hajji, Mohamed Abdullah, Ali al-Sayegh, Jabr al-Mutawa, Mohamed al-Khanji, Rayan al-Jufairi were part of the triumphant team and were coached by Romerio Choya.

Qatar’s Khaled Samir won bronze in the 84kg kumite at the GCC Games in Kuwait on Monday. This is Qatar’s second medal in karate after Adham Hashem had won also bagged a bronze medal on Sunday. On Tuesday, Qatar’s handball team will take on Bahraini, with a victory assuring them a gold medal. After the penultimate day of the GCC Games, Qarar are fourth in medals tally with 14 gold, 20 silver and 15 bronze.
