The Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) and the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Centre (ROLACC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday with the aim of co-operation in the fields of training and development, Qatar News Agency reported.
The agreement was signed by HE Dr Ali bin Fetais al-Marri, chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Centre, and HE Hamad bin Nasser al-Misned, president of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority.
The memorandum was signed at the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Centre in Lusail University.
HE Dr al-Marri reaffirmed the importance of co-operation between actors and specialists in the fight against corruption within Qatar in order to achieve the goal of the highest degree of transparency within administrative organs, bodies, institutions and companies.
For his part, HE al-Misned stressed the importance of co-operation and the utilisation of the capacities of training centres specialised in combating corruption, chaired by the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Centre.
ROLACC is an international centre operating in support of the United Nations. It has provided several training courses and conferences in co-operation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). The centre is also the secretariat of the Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani International Anti-Corruption Excellence Award.
